Advocis National Initiatives - Important

Spring greetings! As another long cold Alberta winter is almost behind us, it’s time to prepare for the warm weather activities we’ve been dreaming about on those frigid snowy days.

I wanted to update you on a couple of Advocis National initiatives that are currently in the works.

The fist initiative is the Economic Impact of Financial Advisors survey. Advocis has engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to study the impact of the financial advice industry on Canadians. A study of this nature has never been attempted on a national scale before, and with your help Canadians will gain a deeper appreciation for the value of the services you provide. To help us gather important information about the business practices, income and costs of financial advisors we are asking all Advocis members to participate in a 5-10 minute survey questionnaire before the survey closes on April 25th. The 2nd initiative is the creation of a Financial Advisor Index. In conjunction with Western University, Advocis has developed a proprietary confidence index that is based on the views and sentiments of financial advisors in Canada. Please visit the Provincial Advocacy link on the chapter homepage for more information regarding this Index and how to register.

I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to review these programs as they have been developed to support Financial Advisors from coast to coast and the value our industry provides to the Canadian consumer.
